As a university, QUT believes that science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) are key to finding solutions to global challenges. The Science and Engineering Faculty is this challenge to inspire, challenge and engage our leaders of the future in sharing their ideas to change the world.

Institute for Future Environments
The Institute for Future Environments (IFE) provides intensive research environments and infrastructure services for researchers in areas of global importance. The Institute studies how our natural, built and virtual environments interact, change and converge, to find ways to make them more sustainable, secure and resilient.

The QUT Science and Engineering Centre supports highly relevant education, and research and development of solutions for global issues such as climate change and sustainability. Its state-of-the-art facilities give researchers and educators a collaborative advantage.
